This fresh and relatively inexpensive Ibanez AVN9 open pore Parlour acoustic has been added to the Artwood Vintage Series and comes finished with a Thermo Aged, solid mahogany top. Since it removes the moisture naturally present in fresh wood, this unique process gifts this newly born guitar with the rich voice of a seasoned and fully ripened vintage model.
The AVN9: Full, Round and Rich
Besides its undeniably full and rich foundation sound shaped by the combination of mahogany and rosewood, the overall tone of this Ibanez has even more depth and refinement with audible emphasis on both the low and high frequencies, helped in part by the bone nut and compensated bridge saddle. The open pore, matt finish of the AVN9, the flatter-than-average fretboard radius and the soft-V-profile neck finish a superb Parlour model guitar, especially considering the price.

Goed om te weten, ik ben een beginnende speler en ik ben zelf redelijk klein van formaat. De gitaar die ik had geleend om uit te proberen of gitaar spelen iets voor mij is, was een dreadnought. Echt veel te groot. Het was een beetje een gevalletje van 'Gitaar, waar ga je met dat meisje naar toe?' Hierdoor was 1 ding duidelijk. Mijn eerste gitaar moet een stuk kleiner zijn. En toen kwam ik uit bij deze prachtige parlor gitaar.
De tip die ik kreeg: één van de dingen die erg belangrijk is bij het kopen van je eerste gitaar: is dat je hem zelf prachtig vind, want dit kan meer motivatie geven om te spelen. En ja hoor.. Het werkt! Als ik hem zie staan dan moet ik er even op spelen. Gewoon omdat hij zo mooi is... En omdat ik natuurlijk beter wil worden.
De nek is een stukje korter, wat ik erg fijn vind spelen. De klank is ook prachtig, het is (natuurlijk) een stukje minder krachtig dan een gitaar van groot formaat, maar dat is niet iets wat mij hindert. Er komt een warm, mooi geluid uit. Ook super handig, omdat de gitaar zo klein is, kan ik hem gemakkelijk meenemen. Ideaal. Zo kan ik mijn vrienden lekker vervelen met: ‘Kijk! Ik kan een nieuw liedje!’
De service (Apeldoorn) was ook echt nog eens geweldig. Mijn dag kon niet meer stuk toen ik hem binnen had. Dank je wel Bax-team Apeldoorn voor de perfecte service!
