Ibanez' AE205 is an electro-acoustic guitar from the new flagship AE series that was designed to offer guitarists supreme tone and playability. It has a mahogany body and neck with a solid Sitka spruce top and a scalloped X bracing. That gives this model a full, rich sound with extra sustain that can be heard in both separate notes as well as chords.

AE205: finish, pickup and preamp

The body has a lovely Brown Sunburst high-gloss finish, while the neck's satin-gloss finish gives it a wonderfully-smooth feel. The bone bridge saddle and string nut ensure optimal transference of the string vibrations to the body. The AE205 has a T-bar pickup installed under the bridge saddle which accurately captures the sound from each string and passes it on to the Ibanez Custom Electronics preamplifier. The preamp then passes on the full, rich acoustic tone to your amplifier.
