With the V90, Vox honour the glory days of the semi-acoustic guitar. More specifically, the mid 1960s - the time that saw the introduction of Bobcat guitars. When you compare the body shape of the V90 to that of some of the original models, you can see that the design has remained fully intact. What's a less traditional, however, is the playability of the V90. For starters, this modern version has a set-in neck so that the joint between the maple body and mahogany neck allows for easier access to the higher frets. In addition, VOX have blessed this 21st century Bobcat guitar with a Tune-O-Matic bridge for the optimal neck angle.

Reducing Feedback

The semi-hollow body of the V90 helps to keep out any unwanted feedback - that annoying resonance that travels straight from the amplifier to your ears. To counter this, a centred lightweight block of spruce was placed inside the body. This not only does away with feedback but improves the sustain. The Bobcat V90 is equipped with soapbar pickups that have S-style magnet poles to add punch and brightness to the sound, something that sets this guitar apart from other semi-acoustic models. To finish, Grover open-gear machine heads were installed for accurate and efficient transfer of string vibrations.
