Rock 'n' Roll, custom cars and Gretsch guitars have gone hand-in-hand since the '50s and, for anyone who can't help but drool over both Rat Rod cars and hollowbody guitars, the G5410T Electromatic is literally made for you. In place of a finish so high-gloss you can see your face in it, this model has a more subtle matt finish across the body and matching head. In place of the usually black-topped insert, the mounted pick-ups come with red inserts while the body is slightly slimmer than most Gretsch archtops, meaning higher-playing comfort and an instrument you can throw around a bit.

The two Black Top (but red) Filter’Trons mounted on this Electromatic shape a robust yet warm double-wound foundation sound that gives just a touch more punch than most regular humbuckers. Play around with the configuration using the 3-way pickup switch and control pots and you start to uncover the sheer spectrum of potential tones this Rat Rod hollowbody is capable of. And, since this is a certified Gretsch, you can throw in vibrato at will with the tried and true Bigsby B60 tailpiece.
