This slime-green Jackson Soloist SLX has exact the same features as the more expensive USA Soloist, but only costs a small fraction of that price. For instance, it has a neck-through-body construction with a highly streamlined heel for the best playing comfort at the higher positions. The fretboard has a compound radius and is fitted with a binding and those characteristic Jackson shark fin inlays. The two powerful Duncan Designed humbucker pickups and extremely stable Floyd Rose tremolo bridge turn this Soloist SLX into a perfect metal machine.
Jackson Soloist SLX Slime Green: tight, direct tone
The X Series Soloist has a basswood body with a set-through maple neck. This neck-through construction gives the guitar a nice, direct sound with lots of extra sustain. The neck has been reinforced with two graphite truss rods for extra strength and stability. The combination of basswood, maple and the 24-fret rosewood fretboard, results in a full, tight sound with sufficient bite. The two Duncan Designed humbuckers are ideal for crystal-clear cleans and heavy distortion. No matter how intensely you use the Floyd Rose bridge, it will remain in tune perfectly, at all times.
Compound-radius fretboard
The fretboard of the Soloist SLX has a compound radius, just like the more expensive Jacksons. This means that the fretboard is rather rounded at the lower positions (12 inches) but flattens towards the body to 16 inches. As a result, you can play barre chords and open chords comfortably at the lower positions on the neck. You’ll also find that, even with a super low action, you’ll still be able to bend the strings at higher positions easily without any buzzing or loss of notes.

Jackson Soloist SLX Slime Green X Series

Ik heb de gitaar nu en week en ben zeer tevreden. De doorlopende nek maakt het spelen op hogere frets een stuk fijner. De floyd Rose weet de gitaar goed in tune te houden hoe veel dive bombs je ook doet.
Over het algemeen dus een opvallende gitaar met de echte jackson kwaliteit.
