Ha scritto quanto segue su Ibanez GRG121SP Black Night Electric Guitar
Na wat aanpassingen speelt de GRG121SP bijzonder vlot, met goede klank, en blijft perfect getuned. Aanpassingen: frets iets beter afgerond en gepoetst, toets geolied, topkam gesmeerd, Grover autolocking tuners geplaatst (hoeft niet echt, maar ik speel niet meer zonder), andere snaren, en de tuning van enkele snaren geoptimaliseerd aan bridge-kant. Actie was al prima bij ontvangst.
Verder overtreft mijn exemplaar over gans de lijn mijn verwachtingen qua comfort, uitzicht, afwerking en kwaliteitscontrole. Alleen leek de toets vlak tegen de topkam ietsje uitgedroogd. Hou er ook rekening mee dat de toets vrij vlak is (perfect voor mij). Dus voor wie van een bolle toetst houdt, wordt het wellicht wat wennen.
Enig echt nadeel dat alle GRG121SP Gio's blijken te hebben is een vrij groot verschil in volume tussen de 3 hoofdposities (= full humbuckers) en de tussenposities 2 en 4 (split coils). Maar mij persoonlijk stoort dat nauwelijks.
Kortom: aanrader voor wie budget belangrijk vindt en dus niet het neusje van de zalm wil, maar wel een betrouwbare en comfortabele gitaar voor een bijzonder gunstige prijs. Bovendien kan je de waarde ervan met 2 à 3 vermenigvuldigen indien je er 1 à 2 u werk aan besteedt.
