Just as high-end but more attractively-priced than most custom models, the TE-style Prestige Series AZS2209H by Ibanez offers players maximum modern comfort and build quality. While this AZS guitar looks a lot like the popular AZ models, it's the subtly rounded, single-cut body that not only sets it apart but does the trick for genuine TE-fanatics. In addition to a comfortable body, Ibanez have rigged out the AZS2209H with a bolted-on, AZ Oval C profile neck, which is exceptionally stable thanks to the special Roasted S-Tech treatment applied to the maple used to carve out both the neck and the fretboard.

To match the slick feel of the oiled neck and traditional 12" fretboard radius, this pro-grade Ibanez axe offers the smooth playability of 22 Prestige Fret Edge-treated, stainless steel jumbo frets, while alder has been used to craft the body to assure you of a solid foundation sound. As a result, the AZS2209H doesn't just pack bright trebles but delivers brutal mids and ample sustain, making sure no note will ever get lost in the mix or go unheard.

To ensure this electric AZS model sounds strikingly modern when plugged in, Ibanez have gone with an SH pickup configuration made up of two Seymour Duncan pickups. The Alnico II Pro single-coil at the bridge whips up bright and twangy, mid-range-rich tone, while the Magic Touch mini humbucker mounted at the neck gives you a fuller sound with ample high-end definition. Next to the 3-way switch and volume and tone pots, you can tweak the special Alter Switch to bring out two additional, serial-switched sounds. Lastly, so you can keep it fully protected during transport, Ibanez include a robust hard-shell case with this Prestige Series solid-body.
