Descrizione

While utterly devoted to the unmistakable styling of its original '60s ancestor, the Gibson Modern Collection Les Paul Classic comes with a few highly appreciated and performance-boosting tweaks. The classic foundation is provided by a mahogany body finished with a maple top, and has been given the '9-Hole' weight relief treatment, which thankfully eases the notorious back-breaking weight of a standard LP. The bound, 12" radius rosewood fretboard has been loaded with 22 medium frets and coupled with a Slim Taper neck profile to make for superior grip-comfort, whether grabbing chords or hitting licks. This modern classic also comes complete with hard shell case and Gibson accessory kit.

The Modern Collection Les Paul Classic: Supple Tone

The Les Paul Classic comes loaded with a pair of 60s BurstBuckers to deliver all of the supple '60s tone you would expect but with the extra punch of a pair of bare, uncovered coils. On top of that, Gibson have gifted this sonic beast with a bank of four push/pull pots. So every tone and every volume pot can be popped to engage the coil-tap, phase switch or pure bypass, splitting open fresh worlds of LP-based sound and confirming the sheer jaw-dropping dominance of this flexible instrument. Naturally, all of this potential comes solidly backed up by the stability of an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a set of Grover Rotomatic tuners.

Prachtige gitaar. Mooi afgewerkt. Afstelling kan wel beter , vandaar 4 sterren. Hot pick-ups maar zeer diverse sounds makkelijk te verkrijgen. Coil-splitting is leuke optie en geeft extra toon mogelijkheden. Bax is zeer correcte winkel. Gitaar zowel als winkel aanrader.

Gibson maakt het waar. Prima gitaar, makkelijk bespeelbaar omdat de snaren laag staan. Goed voorspelbaar geluid.
Bijgeleverde koffer is krap qua hoogte, zodat element keuzeschakelaar onder druk staat.

In de winkel bij Bax Rotterdam bleken 2 schildjes 'Volume' en 'Tone' van de knoppen weg te zijn. Konden niet ter plekke besteld worden. Heb korting gekregen, zodat ik zelf nieuwe knoppen/schildjes kan bestellen. Heb 4 nieuwe knoppen besteld (Musicstore GMBH Keulen), en deze ondertussen ontvangen.
