While the popular EVH Wolfgang® Series electric guitars are already renowned for their high performance, reliability and superior sound, this Wolfgang® Special edition doubles the fun and comes equipped with a basswood body and an arched top that keep the weight down to a comfortable level. Add that to the rolled frets, the satin-gloss-finished neck and the Eddie Van Halen-approved specifications, and what you get is an axe that's going to be hard to put down once you've picked it up.

EVH Wolfgang® Alnico 2 Humbuckers and Bourns® Pots

To set you up with classic EVH-style sound, EVH have mounted a pair of Wolfgang® humbuckers. These direct-mount pickups can shape tight-and-defined tone along with ample sustain but can just as easily sling warm-and-dynamic cleans, making this guitar a solid choice for powerful chord work as well as melodic lines. What's more, you get a 500K EVH® Bourns® Low Friction Pot for supple volume swells and zero loss of highs when the volume is turned down for dynamic parts, plus a 250K EVH® Bourns® High Friction Pot that counters unwanted tone tweaks. Lastly, the EVH Wolfgang® Special has been finished with a D-Tuna system so you can quickly switch from standard tuning to drop tuning.
