This Gibson Collection inspired LP packs vintage looks and sound at under a quarter of the price. The vintage electronics, shaped by two Probucker pickups combined with CTS potentiometers and matching wiring, deliver that well-known and better-loved fat double-coil sound while the extra-satisfying detail of a classic Kalamazoo headstock sits atop the neck. The only modern update here is a welcome one, since the mounted LockTone ABR bridge not only stays in place while re-stringing, but lifts tuning stability to current standards.

Gekocht dec. 2024. Model EILCEBGH1. Strak afgewerkt gitaar zo uit de verpakking. Fretwerk zonder scherpe kanten. Snaren zijn orgineel van Gibson en na een paar x stemmen stabiel en blijven niet hangen in de topkam. En dan de super degelijke Grover Rotomatics tuners ! Brug iets lager zetten ivm snaarhoogte. Deze beauty speelt als een droom ! !

Wat een waanzinnig mooi en fijn instrument ( en al helemaal voor die prijs).
Na het wisselen van de snaren en het schoonmaken en oliën van de toets , het afstellen van de actie, speelt dit gitaar geweldig en klinkt ook nog zeer veelzijdig.
Gelukkig was die nog net op voorraad en had ik hem de volgende dag in huis, maar ben van Bax niet anders gewend.
Dit gitaar is echt een “must have” .

na een kleine 3 maand aangekocht te hebben, een kleins samenvatting.



eerst het negatieve:



zoals op mijn firebird 2020 waren de snaren op de les paul custom van erbarmelijke kwaliteit.

mijn vingers kleurende roet zwart bij het bespelen, en klonken dof.

maar dit heeft niet lang geduurd want na amper een half uur spelen is de hoge e gebroken.

bij het wisselen van de snaren, heb ik ook direct de toets gereinigd waar ook het roet zwarte van de snaren af kwam identiek zoals op mijn firebird.

waarom er geen pakket met een Epiphone koffer der bij, in plaats van een Fazley koffer!!



dan het positieve:

intonatie en afstelling waren perfect.

dit was zowel voor de snaar afstand op de eerste fret tot de kromming van de nek.

heel lichte fret ongelijkheid maar niets dat een directe correctie vraagt --> snaar afstand e 1mm, E 1,5mm op de 12de fret.

stemsleutels werken zacht en zonder spelling.

de afwerking van de gitaar zelf is perfect en heeft een vrij licht gewicht voor een les paul 3,8kg.

het geluid is ook wat ik verwachte, je kan er zowat alles mee.

de bedrading is ook mooi afgewerkt.

helaas geen druppel schielding verf te bespeuren, voor deze prijs klasse toch een teleur stelling.(was ook het geval bij mijn firebird).

de gouden beplating lijkt mij uiterst dun, af te wachten hoe snel deze zal slijten!

Heerlijke gitaar, speelt heel lekker gelijk uit de doos. Hij is een beetje zwaar, maar klinkt verder super. Snelle levering, zoals altijd en goed verpakt.
