The Yamaha Live Custom Set 1 (Emerald Shadow Sunburst) is a shell set characterised by a 22 x 16-inch bass drum, 10 and 12-inch toms, a 16-inch floor tom and a tom holder. With the Live Custom series, Yamaha Drums introduces a new generation of the famous Oak Custom drum sets, and this set is the very first one to come out of Yamaha's high-tech factory. Yamaha consulted many musicians, dealers and consumers to find out exactly what everyone wanted in such a set, and the Live Custom is the result.

Design

As the name "Live Custom" implies, this set is especially well-suited for live applications, and no matter how many decibels come out of the guitarist's stacks, the Live Custom can produce enough sound to match it. That's thanks to the 100% oak shells, which offer not only durability, but are also known for offering a solid sound with enough low frequencies to keep a full, spacious tone.

Details

Yamaha didn't forget any details with this set, and you can see that in the floor tom, which has been given extra support with a stronger vertical clamp. The bass drum hooks have also been improved and are now smaller and lighter. Along with outstanding sound, the Live Custom series is equipped with an attractive exterior as well, with nickel-plated hardware and a beautiful Emerald Shadow Sunburst finish. In short, this set is a real beauty with excellent sound!
