The Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple Pink Champagne Sparkle is a drum set for the true rock enthusiasts. After three years of development, Yamaha displays their fine craftsmanship with this shell set. Comprised of 6 layers of maple wood with a single layer of menge hardwood in the middle, this hybrid kit offers warmth with the added bonus of a good, bright attack, so you can always let your creative expression shine through. With a true rock configuration, this shell set consists of a 22-inch bass drum, two toms measuring 10 and 12 inches each and a 16-inch floor tom (hardware and a snare are not included).

Ultimate sound

During the development stages of the Absolute Hybrid Maple series, Yamaha kept in mind the sound of each individual drum. That's why the smallest tom has fewer air vents than the bass drum, for example, and in this way, the drums are optimised for the best projection possible. Another excellent design feature can be found in the curved bearing edges, which are 45 degrees for the toms and 30 degrees for the bass. This ensures optimal contact between the drum head and shell of each drum, with the additional advantage of getting maximum sound projection from each shell. Thanks to this kind of eye for detail, Yamaha is offering a hybrid kit with fantastic sound projection.

Lightweight

The YESS III tom mounting system ensures that the toms are solidly mounted above your bass drum. At the same time, the toms are also free to resonate, to the benefit of the overall sound. Furthermore, the footprint of the tom holder was designed to be as small as possible, so as to minimally impact on the bass drum so that it, too, can resonate more freely. Additionally, the lug system works to ensure that the clamps stay firmly in place, even at the highest tensions.
