Harness an entire kit with nothing but your feet with the six-pedal Farmer FootDrum. This compact solo-friendly kit sets you up with a hands-free kick, hi-hat, and snare. While it takes some work to get the hang of it, the rewards are immense and options are almost if-not just as wide as playing a full drum kit. The Six-Pedal Farmer FootDrum V12
While an overview of the initial function of the each of the six pedals can be seen in the final image included above, what they do can largely be determined yourself, especially when you start expanding the set-up with the many available add-ons (not included). For example, you can install a shaker-stick, tambourine or cowbell, but as standard, this is what you're getting: Pedal 1 (far left), triggers a stick that strikes the upper cymbal of the hi-hat. Pedal 2 serves as the hi-hat pedal, and closes both cymbals, just like it would with a real hi-hat stand (note that the hi-hats don't come included, but the FootDrum can take cymbals with a 12, 13, or 14-inch diameter). The function of Pedal 3 can be set up by the user, but is defaulted to strike the snare drum, and is essentially a strut-like trigger that extends beneath pedals 1 and 2 and is played with both the heel and toe. Pedal 4 essentially acts as your left hand and has the same structure and functionality as Pedal 3. Pedal 5 is your kick pedal, and Pedal 6 also strikes the bottom hi-hat cymbal but this time pulls out a more crash-style response that can be adjusted. It's also worth knowing that the FootDrum is largely set-up with right-legged drummers in mind, and while all of this may sound complicated, in practice, it all makes a lot of sense, and can be combined to ground-shaking effect.
