This bass guitar from Squier's Classic Vibe series is the budget-friendly version of Fender's first bass guitar from the fifties. The Classic Vibe Precision Bass '50s has the same distinctive looks as the original, including the Telecaster headstock and the white pickguard that covers both horns. To keep it all in retro '50s-style, this version has a classic White Blonde finish that is just transparent enough for you to see the beautiful grain of the pine body. This is the ideal, affordable bass guitar for fans of vintage instruments.
Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '50s: sound and finish
A characteristic feature of this old-style P-Bass is the vintage-style single-coil in the middle of the body. The low output of this pickup, combined with the pine body and maple neck, produce a full, but particularly clear, clean tone. The hardware consists of vintage-style machine heads and a HiMass bridge with four adjustable brass saddles. Thanks to the bridge's solid build, this bass gains some more attack and sustain. A diagonal finger rest beneath the G completes the picture.
Squier and the Classic Vibe series
The most famous Fender guitars are the Stratocaster, the Telecaster, the Precision Bass and the Jazz Bass. Through the years, many manufacturers have tried to imitate them. However, Fender wanted to provide amateur guitarists with their own, affordable alternative and so started their daughter company Squier in 1982. These instruments are built by specifications and under supervision of Fender. The Classic Vibe series is a beloved Squier series that was based on vintage Fender designs. Each of these exceptionally finished electric guitars and bass guitars provide an impressive sound at a remarkably sharp price.
