The Sire Marcus Miller V7 SR5 Tobacco Sunburst Satin is a high-quality 5-string electric bass guitar that combines the classic Jazz Bass look with modern technology. This reissue brings back a much-loved model that had previously been discontinued due to the limited availability of swamp ash. The body is crafted from swamp ash with a beautiful poplar burl veneer top, which not only gives it a luxurious look but also delivers a clear, balanced tone with plenty of dynamics. Thanks to the 34-inch scale length and the extra-low B string, this bass is suitable for a wide range of musical styles.

Extensive tone control

The V7 SR5 is fitted with a Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set featuring classic 1960s pickup positioning and coils wound with USA plain enamel wire. This delivers an open, detailed Jazz Bass tone with excellent definition. Combined with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, you have access to an active 3-band EQ with controls for volume, tone, pickup blend, treble, mid-range and bass. This allows you to effortlessly craft a wide range of tones for both studio and live use, whilst the active and passive modes offer maximum flexibility.

Playing comfort and high-quality finish

The hard maple neck with a comfortable C-profile, together with the Edgeless maple fingerboard, forms a solid foundation for smooth playing comfort. The rounded fingerboard edges feel pleasant to the touch, and the 20 medium frets offer ample space for both traditional and modern bass playing. The bone nut on this 5-string model is 46 mm wide, whilst the new Marcus Heavy Mass II bridge ensures excellent sustain and tuning stability. Premium open-gear tuning machines, chrome-plated hardware and an ivory-coloured mother-of-pearl pickguard add a stylish finishing touch.
