The MetroExpress Series 21-4 Hybrid P/J Bass from lauded boutique bass-builder Sadowsky is one worth getting to know - no matter your style. A durable Portabag gig bag, S-Security strap locks and a set of hex keys come included for good measure, but the best part of first-rate bass is no doubt the active 2-way electronics paired with a pair of Sadowsky pickups. Here, the brutal roars of the split-coil P-style pickup in the middle position goes hand in hand with the more focussed tone whipped up by the J-style single-coil at the bridge.

The MetroExpress 21-4 Hybrid: Adaptable Bass Offering Ultimate Playing Comfort

Both bass pickups can be mixed or isolated as needed using the Balance pot while, next to a volume control, Sadowsky have also installed a 2-band EQ so you can line up your basses and trebles with your favourite genre or your own style of play. Meanwhile, the rounded shape of the lightweight body and the familiar-feeling C-profile neck offer ultimate playing comfort and it's the Just-A-Nut III, the open gear machine heads and the ever-useful quick-string release bridge that can the tuning nice and stable.
