The LTD B series by ESP is popular all over the world and consists of a range of bass guitars including this one, the 5-string ESP LTD B-205SM. The letters SM in its name refer to its 'spalted maple' top, of which the grain is clearly visible thanks to the See Thru Black finish. The body itself is made of ash, which, in combination with a 5-ply maple and rosewood thin U neck, provides great resonance.

The ESP LTD B-205SM is equipped with two SB humbuckers and a 3-band equalizer, all of which was designed by ESP themselves. A traditional boost/cut in the low, mid and high is adjustable and delivers a broad range of sounds.
