The Pearl 75th Anniversary Series: New Gear Dipped in Nostalgia
It's strange to think that Pearl ever started life in a tiny garden workshop in Tokyo where they built humble music stands. Fast-forward to 2021, and Pearl is 75 years old and a giant of the drumming world. Celebrating their birthday in style, Pearl drop of a new range of kits fitted with welcome modern tweaks and dipped in nostalgic design.
The 75th Anniversary President Series
To start, we have the Pearl President Series '21: a range of three-piece kits, each with a vintage sound and finish. The President Series Phenolic kit come with the depth and warmth of a set of authentic phenolic shells, while the President Series Deluxe edition has the clarity and modern functionality of a set of Lauan shells. Naturally, both kits feature authentic detailing like Battleship lugs and Gullwing kick drum spurs, internal mufflers, and classic script and logo stamped drumheads and badges.
A Matching Snare for Every Kit
This very special series also includes a range of very special snare drums to match. The Sensitone Heritage Alloy snares are directly based on the original Sensitone snares of old and feature a fully metal construction that delivers a cracking and responsive projection packed with supple overtones. The Duoluxe Series snares are the first metal snares to come wrapped with inlaid bands with a pearl-white finish, which not only lend deluxe style, but result in lightly tempered overtones. Finally, the StaveCraft series snares have an extra thick, mixed hardwood shell that shapes maximum, punching power.
