What's New with the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2?

You get fully equipped with all of the basics you'd expect of a USB/MIDI keyboard of this calibre, including sustain and expression pedal ports and USB MIDI and DIN MIDI functionality. What this production and performance ready instrument also provides is a pair of large, full-colour displays for navigating plug-ins in luxurious comfort, and using the NKS protocol, you can be sure of a seamless integration between software and hardware. This next-gen keyboard has also been upgraded with a Fatar key-bed.

While the first-gen Komplete Kontrol featured pitch and modulation touch strips, the MK2 has been kitted out with a set of tried-and-trusted expression wheels and an extra touch strip, while additional controls grant access to the transport section of your production software as well as scenes and patterns in MASCHINE. A unique rotary knob has also been planted to the right of the keys; more like a mini joystick, this neat and tactile controller combines the function of a push encoder with a cursor mechanism. In short, the Komplete Kontrol MK2 has been re-vamped and polished up to provide the most extensive production tool on the planet.
