The Kurzweil KP-100 comes fully packed with stunning sounds, useful functions, and endless potential. The keyboard is loaded with 61 velocity-sensitive keys that reproduce sound in 128-voice polyphony for an incredibly dynamic and organic playing feel. Kurzweil have generously provided 240 rhythms and 160 popular songs so that your playing can be accompanied by pretty much any style, and you can play along with pretty much every traditional song.
The Kurzweil KP-100
Within the immense list of 653 built-in sounds, you'll find some of the same pianos, screaming organs, various guitars, string and brass sections, previously found loaded into the Kurzweil PC3 workstations. Due to the 128-voice polyphony, different sounds can be layered to add unique depth to your playing - think of a standard piano backed by a small string ensemble, for example. The Lower function basically operates as a split-function, and once enabled, gives you the option of adding a different sound to the left hand side of the keyboard. All of this, combined with the 240 different rhythms and accompaniments offer the opportunity to conjure your own jazz ensemble, pop band, or even Cuban salsa band. Once you're ready, your original compositions and performances can be recorded using the built-in six-track recorder and then polished up using the built-in mixer.
Integrated Speakers
For rehearsing, or for more private playing, you can always connect up a pair of headphones. But, if you're already itching to share your creations, a pair of 10 Watt integrated speakers can be used to turn the living room into a concert hall. Also, while this keyboard does come with a power supply included, if you happen to have six AA batteries hiding in a drawer somewhere, you can play the KP-100 anywhere you want.
