The Suite 2 First Class+ by Sunlite is a pack consisting of a compact interface and extensive DMX software. This lighting controller software is highly user-friendly. Load up the fixture profiles that match your lighting, enter the correct DMX addresses and you're good to go. Aside from your computer, the interface can also be controlled with your tablet or smartphone.

Suite 2 First Class+: The Hardware

The First Class+ is the most advanced and extensive interface for the Suite 2 software available. The 'Plus' edition has unlimited Ethernet channels while the regular First Class has a maximum of 2048 (4x 512) channels. It comes with 512 DMX-in channels and another 1024 DMX-out and can be controlled via ethernet, USB or wirelessly over Wi-Fi. Using the free, downloadable app, the FC+ can also be operated via your iPhone, iPad or Android device or, if you'd rather sit back and enjoy the show instead, make sure to save your show to an SD card beforehand and switch to stand-alone mode.

The Software

The Suite 2's graphic interface looks clean and clear and works on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. The software comes including an enormous library filled with fixture profiles. If your scanner or moving head is not included, you might be able to download it via the Sunlite website. Alternatively, you can use the Scanlibrary Editor to create your own profile. For optimal oversight, the X/Y graphs and colour circles are displayed via a pop-up window and several faders have been changed into knobs compared to the previous version.
