Dorico also supports 'figured bass', also known as Basso Continuo, allowing the creation of Baroque style harmonic notation, where a bass note can be assigned figures representing the chord rather than notating the entire chord, making the notation process a little bit quicker. VST expression maps are also included, so that the very best articulations and expressions can be pulled out the very best virtual instruments.
