Roland's Aira series features a number of old-school legends in a new, modern housing. The synthesizers are virtually analogue - at Roland the term 'ACB technology' has been coined - which means the hardware and sound of the TB-303, TR-808 and TR-909 have been minutely reproduced. The new Aira models are more versatile than their originals, offering more sounds, more options, modern controls, USB support, etc. That is not all, however. The System-1, for instance, is a hybrid of a virtually analogue synthesizer and a plug-in host - a concept that requires some further explanation. At Roland, plug-ins of old synthesizers are manufactured (take Roland's SH-101, for instance), which can be run in your DAW, using the System-1 as a controller. The plug-ins can also be uploaded to the System-1, in which case the plug-in can be run as a stand-alone.

Who will benefit from this bundle?

Look for an original TB-303, TR-808 or TR-909 online, and you'll see that prices have skyrocketed. Whether you agree or disagree, the fact remains that hype and rarity are important factors in the second-hand, vintage gear trade. These new Aira products offer a great alternative for EDM producers who cannot (or will not) spend thousands of euros on an original. Even if you already own a vintage product, the Aira upgrades may still be an interesting option, as they offer more extensive functionality.

The Aira products in this bundle are particularly suited for EDM producers and performers, and are ideal for genres such as Trance, Dubstep, Goa, Acid and even synth pop. Together, they offer you a wide range of functions and options to create all the building blocks you need for your tracks: bass, drums, melody/chords and vocals.

Top ik heb mijn nieuwe tb3 binnen. De eerste die ik bestelde functioneerde niet goed, een hardwarematige fout dus die moest helaas terug. Geen probleem vanuit deze heldenwinkel. Het apparaat ( de vervangende werkende) speelt heerlijk weg. Je kan intuïtief baslijnen droppen als een malle. Het vermogen al je werk automatisch op te slaan is fantastisch kortom een droom van een bass-synthesizer. Bij een geweldige winkel
