The Meinl CA14 Caixa snare drum is an aluminium percussion instrument that is 14 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep. When you play it, it produces a sharp sound with a classic timbre. The CA14 is excellently suited for playing rimshots and offers you the great quality that we've come to expect from Meinl.
Professional straining system
The CA14 Caixa snare is equipped with a professional straining mechanism. This consists of a set of steel snare wires that are strung along the bottom head, and a professional snare throw-off that allows you to quickly and easily disengage the snare wires. Furthermore, the CA14 comes with a drumhead that is easy to remove. It is held in place by tension rods with countersunk heads, so you simply need to loosen these to replace the drumhead. You even get a drum key included with your purchase!
