This is The Wasp. Part of the Mapex Black Panther Series, this snare has a 1mm thick, 10" x 5.5" steel shell that delivers the sharp, focused sound you'd expect of a snare this size. It could even serve as a side snare. The upper side is finished with a 45° SONIClear bearing edge, while the lower side has a matching 35° SONIClear bearing edge. Every bit of hardware has been chrome plated, including the Sonic Saver tension hoops and double-sided B-lugs. As standard, this snare comes with a coated Remo Ambassador batter head and a Clear Ambassador resonance head.
