The Sonnet Allegro FW800-E is an ultra-fast FireWire 800 PCIe card. Connect it to an available PCI Express slot of your PC or Mac and it puts three FireWire 800 ports at your disposal. You can use it for the most demanding devices, such as professional video and audio equipment. They are no problem for the Allegro FW800-E! Its chip set is manufactured by Texas Instruments, so a great performance for audio applications is guaranteed. Additionally, the Sonnet Allego FW800-E supports FireWire 400 devices and powers bus-powered drives and interfaces.

Na 3 maanden in het bezit te zijn van de Alesis I/O26 die ik niet kon gebruiken Kwam Bax tot mijn redding. Door deze PCIe aan te schaffen os mijn studio van amateur naar semi pro gegaan. Alles werkt zonder ook maar 1 software te installeren.



Top service en snelle levering.

Geweldige kaart.

Ik heb een aantal verschillende - goedkopere - firewire kaarten geprobeerd en op geen enkele kaart kreeg ik mijn audio-interface werkend. Tot ik deze kaart gebruikte. Er in klikken, drivertje, en hij werkt al een half jaar als een zonnetje.

Geef liever wat extra geld uit en koop deze, dat werkte tenminste.

Misschien wel handig om er bij te zetten welke kabel je er dan bij moet ik heb nu een 9 naar 9 pin kabel, past niet in dezelfde externe geluidskaart als wat hierboven beschreven word en de 9 naar 6 pins, is uit het assortiment

Na lang vervelende FW problemen gehad te hebben met o.a. iMac en PC (goedkoop merkloos FW kaartje) ten einde raad deze Sonnet gekocht bij BAX.
Installatie gaat flitsend en mijn Steinberg MR816CSX krijgt eindelijk wat ie verdient!
ASIO buffers op slechts 32 samples tegen 256 voorheen
Input latency 1,7 ms tegen 9 ms voorheen
Output latency 3,9 ms tegen 14 ms voorheen

Geen dropouts en hikjes meer...... heerlijk!

Sonnet Allegro FW800-E

De PCI kaart was makkelijk te installeren. Ik heb onder Windows 8 niets met drivers etc. hoeven te installeren. Mijn Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP werkt uitstekend.
