This 8-string guitar with the catchy name JS32-8Q Dinky belongs to the JS series by Jackson Guitars. This beginner series is known for its excellent price/quality ratio and now includes this 8-string version. As this guitar produces a very fat and heavy sound, it's ideal for virtuosos, fans of the band Meshuggah or if you're playing in band without a bass player. This guitar has a basswood body that produces a nice, warm tone, and a top made of great-looking flamed maple. This gives the guitar great looks and a great sparkle in the high.
JS32-7Q Dinky: The sound
This guitar already produces a full, heavy and direct sound. This is accentuated by the two extra strings, making this guitar perfect for heavier music genres. It has a bolt-on mapleneck that has a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl 'piranha' position markers. The fretboard has a compound radius which means that the curve varies along the length of the neck. As a result, you can more easily switch chords, play fast solo parts and bend strings. This nifty guitar has an enormous range, from a driving low to a screaming high.

Jackson JS32-8Q Dinky

Wat een verbazingwekkend goede gitaar voor deze prijs!Dacht niet dat dit mogelijk was en ik speel ondertussen toch al zo'n 35 jaartjes gitaar(gitaren uit een veel hoger prijs/kwaliteit-segment). Natuurlijk is de Dinky gemaakt van mindere houtsoorten en zijn de pickups een Jackson fabrikaat en geen Seymour Duncans,EMG"s of Dimarzio"s maar ik moet zeggen dat het geluid van de pickups me echt op zeer positieve wijze heeft verrast!Ik had verwacht dat het eerste wat ik zou moeten doen met deze gitaar het inbouwen van topkwaliteit pickups zou zijn maar na het horen van de killersound die er nu uit komt wacht ik hier toch nog even mee.Ik speel ermee over de pod HD-500X en na een uurtje zoeken naar de juiste instellingen kom ik toch een heel stuk richting het 8 string geluid van bands als Whitechapel en Fear Factory.
Dus Jackson...............RESPECT!!!!!!
Zoek je dus een budget-gitaar om de wereld van de 8 string binnen te stappen kan ik je deze Jackson van harte aanraden.Qua prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is dit echt een super gitaar.
Trouwens Bax wederom bedankt voor de snelle en goede service!

Jackson JS32-8Q Dinky

Voor het geld een goede 8 snarige gitaar. Enige nadeel is dat er door de stemknop voor de 8e snaar geen dikkere (.074) snaren kan. Een dikkere snaar is echter wel aan te raden omdat de snaar die er op zit (.65?) wel erg los staat en gaat ratelen. Het geluid is vet maar zou nog iets meer defenitie mogen hebben, met name op de dikste snaar.
