Although it has a partly hollow body, like a semi-hollow body, it is smaller and thinner than most traditional jazz boxes by Ibanez which means it's more manageable. Ibanez AM93-TKS: quilted maple semi-hollow body
The top, back and sides of this appealing jazz guitar are made of a beautifully grained maple, also known as quilted maple. The three-piece set-in neck of the Ibanez AM93 is made of mahogany and maple and has a 2-fret rosewood fretboard. This combination of wood types results in a warm, yet clear tone. Thanks to the solid center block in the body you also benefit from the long sustain of a solid-body guitar.
Super 58 Custom humbuckers
For pickups, Ibanez selected two Super 58 Custom humbuckers. These humbuckers have Alnico magnets to provide you with a versatile sound suited for anything, from creamy jazz sounds to shredding blues and rock. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control for extra flexibility. The hardware consists of a set of reliable self-lubricating tuners, a completely adjustable ART-1 bridge and the highly practical Quick Change II tailpiece for quickly and easily switching chords.
