Descrizione

To help you streamline your signal chain set-up, Klark Teknik offer up the MIC BOOSTER CM-1. Hook this in-line preamp up to your passive ribbon or dynamic microphone using a short cable and boost the signal with +25 dB. If needed, it's even possible to use extremely long cables without getting any interference, and you can simply turn the preamp of your mixer or interface down to where it sounds optimal again. The CM-1 runs on 48V phantom power, but is thankfully unable to pass the voltage on to your microphone - a highly reassuring notion if you regularly record using vulnerable ribbon microphones.

Consigli e osservazioni

  • Please note: the Klark Teknik MIC BOOSTER CM 1 doesn't supply phantom power to the microphone connected to it. Therefore, the C1 is not suitable for condenser microphones and other active models that require phantom power.

Klark Teknik MIC BOOSTER CM-1 In-Line Microphone Preamp

It's basically a Cloudlifter at an 88% discount. It's very well built, I haven't tested this yet but it feels like I could probably drive over it and it'd be fine. The signal from my AKG D5 is boosted to give me some more headroom on my interface preamp and there's no noticeable noise, so for £17 I'm very happy.
