Genelec has managed to perform some pretty impressive technical achievements with this 8430A monitor. Together with GLM AutoCal, Genelec's Smart Active Monitoring, a.k.a SAM, ensures that the monitor's sound is automatically calibrated. All this ties in with the AoIP protocol which allows you to adjust the tones of your 8430A IP via the computer to suit the acoustics of any space you happen to be in. Ingenious and practical! To keep the frequency response as neutral-sounding as possible, Genelec developed the DCW (Directivity Control Guide), which always delivers a pure and untainted sound.
