The EW 512 is the first version from the EW 500 G3 series by Sennheiser. The 500 G3 series is Sennheiser's new flagship with many new features compared to the G2 series. The EW 512 wireless microphone is equipped with the MKE 2-EW microphone, one of Sennheiser's most reliable clip-on condenser microphones. This small microphone is the successor of the MKE 2-Gold: Sennheiser have simply continued the success of this microphone. The high-quality sound is sent to the Evolution EM 500 True Diversity receiver via a compact bodypack transmitter. Transmitter and receiver can be synchronised via a simple press of the sync button. The 500 G3 series is equipped with a frequency bank system of 32 frequencies, a solid, metal housing, an Ethernet connection with which you can connect Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) software for computer control, a user-friendly menu and an illuminated dot-matrix screen.

Attenzione, questa è la versione B! Rispetto alla versione A, l'unica differenza è il range di frequenza da 626 a 668 MHz, che si usa maggiormente nei Paesi Bassi. Malgrado funzionino entrambe, è consigliabile utilizzare la versione A in Belgio e la versione B in Olanda. Non è possibile combinare la versione A con la versione B.
