This Electro Voice PL 44 dynamic vocal microphone has been developed for bringing a plug-and-play vocal installation to the mix. The high mid-range of this microphone has been given a light boost at 5 kHz, which provides more clarity and articulation. This PL 44 has an incredibly accurate frequency response, and thereby delivers an organic image of the vocal frequency range.

Super-cardioid

The super-cardioid polar pattern of this microphone ensures excellent isolation against feedback and crosstalk. It also makes the microphone very directionally sensitive so it will only pick up what you want it to. This feature makes a higher gain possible before it starts to feedback. Furthermore, while this microphone was primarily developed for singing and speech, it can also easily be used for instruments or amplifiers.

Built-in shock mount and pop filter

The PL 44's capsule is mounted in an internal shock mount, which helps to avoid handling noise. Moreover, this capsule is also protected by a foam pop filter to avoid those pesky plosives, even when the mic is touching your lips. It's also protected against moisture with an extra foam layer.
