Backed up by Unison enabled preamps and in-hardware DSP-run plugins, the Universal Audio Apollo x8 audio interface exponentially broadens the horizons when it comes to the recording, mixing and mastering phases. With this progressive interface, you can treat recordings with hyper-accurate emulations of iconic Neve, Manley, API and SSL preamps, giving your work all the authentic flavour of the golden-age of studio recording, and since it all happens inside the interface itself, none of it uses up any CPU, leaving your computer free to concentrate on other tasks.

Superior AD/DA Conversion & Clocking

The AD/DA conversion here is nothing short of world-class and the recording sits at a maximum sample rate and resolution of 192kHz at 24 bits, while the superior clocking boasted by every Apollo Series unit comes through in the instrument separation and spacious stereo image that results. Since this is a Thunderbolt 3 interface, everything happens with near-zero latency, completing an inspired audio interface that's guaranteed to slap a grin on the face of even the most picky of engineers.

Hex-Core Processing = Breathtaking Realism

The Apollo x8 has been kitted out with state-of-the-art DSPs - no-less-than six of them. It's this level of processing power that makes the included emulations of hardware from the sixties and seventies possible. The Hi-Z input preamps as well as the microphone input preamps feature Universal Audio's own Unison technology, meaning that as soon as you jack in a guitar or bass, the sound can be sent through a virtual amplifier stamped with names like Marshall or Ampeg. The instrument and microphone input impedance is even automatically adjusted to match the original amplifiers and preamps the plugins are designed to mimic, resulting in pure and authentic dynamic response.
