The TD-50 is Roland's most comprehensive model included in their V-Drum series. This KVX model includes a 22-inch acoustic bass drum and an extensive module, large mesh-head pads and great-sounding cymbal pads. The bass drum in this TD-50KVX kit has a batter head with advanced trigger technology that really enhances the entire kit with the sound and feel of an acoustic kick.
Features of the TD-50 Module
A module is often considered the beating heart of a digital drum kit. The TD-50's module has special Prismatic Sound Modelling that will translate every detail of your performance into sound. There are many built-in sounds available, but you can also add your own samples and adjust them to perfection using the various on-board effects. Record your sessions with the module or via a DAW on your computer. There's also a balanced output for hooking the module up to a PA so you don't need a DI box.
14-inch Snare and 18-Inch Ride
The TD-50 kit has special pads that include a 14-inch snare drum and an 18-inch ride. Not only are these significant in size, they're also equipped with a multi-element sensor system that goes much further than the regular high-quality trigger technology found on other pads. The snare has a 3-ply mesh-head that reacts to every nuance in your playing. The 18-inch ride has three sensors from the edge to the bell and can be muted by hand! This kit comes in a 1 up, 2 down configuration and includes one tom and two floor toms. It also comes with a 13-inch hi-hat, a 14-inch crash and a 15-inch crash ride.

- Please note: this kit does not include a bass drum pedal, a snare drum stand, a hi-hat stand or a drum throne.
- With mesh heads, we recommend using nylon-tip drum sticks only. A (slightly) splintered wooden tip can damage the head.
