The Roland TD-27KV V-Drums offers everything you would expect from a Roland-made kit: solid, realistic playing feel, great sound and a comfortable setup. This five-piece electronic kit comes with a snare, three toms, a hi-hat, two crash-pads, a ride pad and a kick drum. The cymbals are a little larger than usual for improved realism and a natural feel and, what really pushes this kit that bit further is the incredibly high response of the 18-inch ride. This multi-sensor pad offers an insane dynamic range that not only reacts faithfully to any accents but actively seeks to sound different every time.

The Roland TD-27

The mastermind behind this kit is the Roland TD-27 drum module. Inside this little box, ‘Prismatic Sound Modeling’ is hard at work and, since it comes directly from the prized TD-50 module, guarantees high-grade sound. This module can stream audio via Bluetooth for wireless rehearsing with backing tracks and, since this is a Roland, your own WAV samples can be loaded in from an SD card. Capping it; the TD-27 even comes with an integrated 28-channel USB audio interface for utterly professional recording.

I've had my eye on this kit for a long time. I eventually took the plunge and I am happy with the decision. Having used both Yamaha and Alesis kits, there is no comparison. Toms are a decent size and it jsut feels natural behind this kit.

Heerlijke set. De toms met mesh vellen voelen heel natuurlijk en responsief aan. De ride die bij de KV versie zit is lekker groot en zwaar met meerdere aanraak-zones en een goede bel/cup. Daardoor kun je mooi afwisselend edge/cup spelen, zoals in "Seven days" van Sting.
De snare is heel zwaar, maar wel volledig snare-formaat. waardoor heerlijk speelbaar. Ook responsief door het vel, wat ook met brushes bespeelbaar is. En door het formaat, kun je er ook normaal "on-rim" mee spelen, dus achterkant stok op vel, flank op de rand).

Ik gebruik eigenlijk altijd maar 1 kit. Maar die klinkt ook heerlijk warm en diep. Maar er zijn meerdere kits te laden (nog niet geprobeerd). Verder kun je er via bluetooth je telefoon aan koppelen zodat je mee kan spelen met muziek. Maar er is ook een analoge jack ingang. In tegenstelling tot de TDK6V is dat een full-size jack. Dus je hebt wellicht een 3,5mm jack adapter nodig. Ook prettig is dat er aparte volume knoppen voor de input , drumkit en koptelefoon zijn. Dus je kan heel goed de balans tussen je eigen kit en de muziek regelen.

Let op dat er naast crash-1 een apart aan te sluiten ride bekken als crash-2 wordt mee geleverd. Die sluit je aan met een apart meegeleverde kabel via de edge aansluiting. De cup aansluiting op het bekken wordt dan niet gebruikt. De oorspronkelijke ride aansluitingen (cup en edge) van de multi-kabel zijn net als de snare kabel afgedopt en worden in deze set niet gebruikt. Dat is in de verschillende handleidingen niet direct duidelijk (of ik heb het gemist).

I am very happy with my new drum kit. The first thing I loved about it was the head meshes: they are very quiet, yet they resemble very well the feeling of an acoustic drum head. Make sure to follow the instructions on tightening them properly before playing!
The 18 inch ride cymbal is another part that brings the set closer to an acoustic one, because of its size, and the fact that it's digital, which makes subtle playing more realistic. And the snare is just mind blowing! From soft brushing to hard hits and rim shots, all the sounds will be reproduced almost perfectly by the TD 27 module.
A small downside of this kit is the default sounds in the module. Personally I only liked one of all the included presets. However, it's possible to upload more presents using an SD card, so this shouldn't be a deal breaker. Overall this is an amazing drum kit, and I'm glad I finally took the plunge and bought it.

J'ai possédé plusieurs batteries Roland, souvent déçu par le son amplifié des cymbales...Avec le nouveau module enfin un vrai son de batterie acoustique, j'avais été tenté par d'autre marques et finalement je suis revenu sur ce produit, et je ne regrette vraiment pas au final.
