ATV is a Japanese company that pays special attention to the sound quality of its products. Rather than giving you an electronic drum kit with lots of sounds you'll probably never use, they focus on making the ones they do give you exceptionally good. The EXS-3 from the EXS series consists of a bass drum, a snare drum, 3 toms, a hi-hat, crash and ride cymbals, the xD3 drum module and even a rack!

All of the drum pads in this kit are 10 inches in diameter and have mesh heads that produce very little sound when you play. The hi-hat consists of two pads that are 12 inches in diameter and the crash cymbal is also the same size. The ride pad is slightly bigger at 14 inches. All of the cymbals pads can be used with standard cymbal and hi-hat stands.

ATV xD3 drum module

The xD3 drum module that comes with this kit is related to the renowned aD5 and it also has 5 fantastic-sounding kits preinstalled with the possibility to add more from ATV's Sound Store website. It's easy to use as well and has plenty of features on board. There are 20 preset songs for you to play along with and you can easily add more via an SD card. There's a built-in metronome and practice and recording functions too. If you want to add an extra cymbal pad, there's a spare input and other connectors include a headphone socket, two jack outputs and a mini jack auxiliary input.
