Already in its third generation, the granddaddy of the Walrus Audio Iron Horse V3 must be looking on with pride. This untamed beast of a distortion stompbox is able to swing from silicon to LED clipping at the mere twist of a knob, spanning a breathtakingly wide sonic range and incredibly dynamic response. That's right! The silicon/LED mini-switch found planted on the face of previous generations has been ripped out and replaced with a Blend pot. This means that the response of both clipping diodes can be mixed, or the pot can be pushed all the way to the left to the engage asymmetrical silicon clipping supported by ultra-high compression, or is can be pushed all the way to the right to gain 100% LED clipping with ultra-low compression.

The Iron Horse V3 is Walrus Audio's take on a classic high-gain distortion circuit, so you're getting pure and unadulterated, thick and punchy sonic intensity. The set of Level, Tone and Distortion pots can be twisted and contorted to hammer out everything from lighter, crystal-clear overdrives to feral and screaming distortion, and just like all Walrus Audio offerings, this stompbox features top-mounted connection ports to support a clean pedalboard setup. Celebrating Halloween, 2022, this limited edition comes stamped with a glow-in-the-dark zombie-horse skeleton.
