The Mesa Boogie Flux Drive is an overdrive+, or, an overdrive that takes it that bit further for long sustain that easily distorts into rich harmonic overtones. It is a forgiving pedal with powerful tone controls that offers remarkably expressive, inspiring playing sessions. The Flux Drive is also great for amplifying crunch or a high-gain amplifier channel.

The craftsmanship of the Flux Drive

Mesa Boogie is mostly known for their excellent guitar and bass guitar amplifiers. It's no surprise then that their small detour into the world of stomp boxes immediately headed towards overdrive. All of the expertise that Mesa Boogie gained in forty years has gone into making the Mesa boost and overdrive pedals - including this addictive Mesa Boogie FluxDrive!

Mesa Boogie Flux-Drive pedale overdrive

De Mesa Boogie is een erg mooie Natuurlijke en Dynamische overdive. Ik gebruik hem met mijn Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Met aardig wat gain. Het pedaal kan aardig wat gain leveren, en geeft een lange sustain. Tevens werkt de Mesa Boogie Flux drive ook mooi in combinatie met andere Overdrive pedalen en/of Boosters. Ik vind hem erg goed klinken in Combinatie met een (Mid)Booster en een lichte Overdrive. De Overdrive komt erg dicht bij de Overdrives in Mesa Amps!

Het pedaal heeft naar mijn mening maar 1 instelling die goed klinkt, maar dit klinkt dan wel heel goed! De komende tijdt vormt hij samen met 2 andere te gekke drive pedalen mijn Go-To drive.

Goed pedaal, lekkere strakke sound.
Verwacht echter niet veel gain want het is tenslotte een overdrive.
Bouwkwaliteit is zoals gebruikelijk bij Mesa natuurlijk supergoed!
Ik had er al een oogje op maar vond hem iets te prijzig voor zo'n € 185
Voor de prijs bij Bax van ca. € 150 hoefde ik niet lang na te denken.
Dit is een blijvertje op mijn pedalenbord naast de Maxon OD808 en de MI Audio Crunchbox.
Een aanrader dus!
