Sia che si tratti di rimanere fedeli a una click track, a campioni in loop o a una backing track completa, suonare la batteria in cuffia può essere una situazione da incubo, in cui ci si sforza di sentire il tempo sopra il ritmo che si sta scandendo, mentre il volume del monitor viene lentamente spinto a livelli penetranti, persino dannosi. Per alleviare il dolore, Vic Firth offre l'aiuto di queste cuffie SIH2 appositamente progettate. In grado di smorzare il rumore ambientale di ben 25 dB, vi permetteranno di abbassare il volume a un livello più confortevole e di concentrarvi nuovamente sul ritmo. Essendo il seguito delle popolari cuffie SIH1, hanno un design dell'altoparlante migliorato con un driver più grande, che conferisce maggiore potenza ai bassi e maggiore chiarezza ai medi e alle alte frequenze. Anche l'archetto è più comodo rispetto alle edizioni precedenti e sono ora in grado di supportare sessioni di gioco più lunghe, completando un set completo di monitor personali realizzati da persone che sanno davvero qualcosa sul drumming: Vic Firth.

Onverwacht geweldige ervaring!

Na jarenlang hoofdtelefoons van Sennheiser gebruikt te hebben (de laatste is de HD206) om o.a. mijn Roland TD-27 goed te kunnen horen heb ik me laten verleiden om deze Vic Firth aan te schaffen. Om te beginnen met, misschien het enige, min-puntje: in het laag wint de Sennheiser beslist maar dat neem ik graag op de koop toe. Wat ik echt geweldig vind aan deze hoofdtelefoon is de zogenaamde noise canceling: ik bleek toch veel meer van het akoestische geluid van mijn e-drum-set mee te krijgen dan gedacht waardoor zowel de backing-tracks als de het geluid van m'n e-kits geweld aangedaan werd. Dat is nu absoluut niet meer aan de orde en er gaat een wereld voor me open, qua geluid(skwaliteit)! Heel fijn! De hoofdtelefoon past goed en zit stevig (maar niet té) op m'n hoofd geklemd en prima te dragen, voor langere tijd. De kabel is, met anderhalve meter, inderdaad erg kort (ik was gewend om de kabel "achterlangs" te laten lopen; dát kan niet meer) dus die laat ik de hoogte in gaan voordat ie in m'n TD-27 of mengpaneeltje gaat. Een verlengkabeltje is snel gehaald als dat een issue mocht zijn. Stevige constructie en ik schat in dat ie wel een tijdje mee gaat. Wat mij betreft, in combinatie met e-drums, een absolute aanrader!

They sort of do the job. Attenuation is allegedly 25dB according to the manufacturer but they feel like less. I was quite disappointed with the sound quality. For that size, they lack a lot of bass, and the sound feels very cheap. The cord is very short. Before buying these I was just using some regular 3M protective ear muffs in combination with a cheap pair of Sony in-ear headphones. Surprisingly this works (and sounds!) much better than the more expensive Vic Firth SIH2. I will be shelving these in case I need them, for now I will go back to my previous solution.

Voelt kwalitatief goed!
Zit lekker en klinkt relatief goed.
Alleen een heel groot nadeel is dat deze nog al lekt met name aan de onderkant van de oren.
Daarom ga ik de hoofdtelefoon retourneren.
Als dit niet het geval was geweest had ik hem zeker gehouden!

Voelt kwalitatief degelijk, wel met te kort snoer (ca. 1.30) voor een drum hoofdtelefoon, geluid is prima in orde (en redelijk neutraal), isoleert de buitenwereld zeer goed maar knelt enorm.
Na een paar dagen gebruik twijfel ik nog steeds of 'm terug moet sturen want de headset zit enorm strak en knelt. En ik heb de kleinste hoedenmaat die er is....

Thuis speel ik op een Roland TD17 en is het geluid van de VicFirth nog beter dan mijn Senheiser die ik al enkele jaren gebruik. Maar bij de drumleraar spelen we op een gewoon drumstel en met COVID-19 is het veiliger je eigen spullen mee te brengen... de VicFirth isoleert perfect en maakt samenspelen vlot mogelijk. Top product voor zo’n lage prijs en binnen 1 dag geleverd... dank Bax team

Very good, but let down by poor mechanical design. I found them very difficult to put on because the adjusters never stayed where I put them, but I'm fortunate enough to have a machine workshop so I made some new aluminium ones.



The sound quality is far better than expected from a low cost closed back headphone, and it's ideal for monitoring quiet microphone recordings while avoiding feedback. I wouldn't class them as true HiFi headphones, but they are not intended to be.



The sound isolation is excellent, and similar to most ear defenders.



They are light and comfortable, despite having the fairly high clamping force that is required for good isolation.



I'd recommend them to anyone wanting isolating phones, but the adjusters need some attention.

Betaalbare koptelefoon van uitstekende kwaliteit. Sluit veel omgevingsgeluid af waardoor je tijdens het meedrummen de koptelefoon niet snoeihard hoeft te zetten. Daar worden wij muzikanten natuurlijk erg blij van :) Een dikke aanrader dus! Zelf heb ik hem gekocht in combinatie met de Devine HPB02 koptelefooncase. Nu hoef ik mij tijdens het in de tas of koffer pakken geen zorgen te maken, de case geeft prima bescherming. Ik kan hier dus jaren mee vooruit, en dat voor een bedrag, inlcusief case, ruim onder de 100 euro. Mijn advies = kopen

Zeer goede drumkoptelefoon voor dit geld. Hij klemt goed op je hoofd zodat hij goed blijft zitten en het geluid van je drums voldoende gedempt wordt. De sound van je drums vervormt uiteraard wel, maar niet heel storend. Ideaal om met muziek mee te drummen of met een clicktrack.
