Aquila 96C Super Nylgut set di corde per guitalele (A-D-G-c-e-a)

Doordat de snaren niet echt herkenbaar gemarkeerd zijn moet je zelf aan de slag om te bepalen welke snaar waar moet komen. Er is wel iets van verschil te zien maar een kleurcodering oid was dat voor een beginner als ik een stuk prettiger geweest...

I bought these strings for my Cordoba Mini guitar that has a 510mm scale length (just over 20 inches) and tunes to A just like a classical guitar with a capo on the 5th fret (NOTE: IT IS NOT the Mini II that has a longer scale length and tunes to standard E). It was a previously owned one from a music store and came strung with new ball-end full scale classical guitar strings that sounded muddy and dead. These Aquila 96C Guilele/Guitarlele strings are recommended for A-tuned instruments with a shorter scale length of 17 inches (432mm) which is normal for a Guilele, but I thought i would test them anyway. Usually the same strings will feel tighter on a longer scale length than on a shorter scale length instrument and 78mm (3 inches) is quite a difference. I am very pleased with the sound. The strings feel and sound more alive and the mini guitar rings better. It sounds more snappy and a bit more like a guilele than a scaled down classical guitar, and that is what I wanted.

TLDR: wat wil je, het is nylgut

Ik heb snaren van nylgut op al mijn ukulele's en zelfs op mijn luit. Voor instrumenten die niet met stalen snaren bespannen zijn is er gewoon niets beters naar mijn mening. Maar goed, het blijft een mening want geluid blijft persoonlijk.

Nylgut staat erom bekend dat het lang de tijd nodig heeft om te stabiliseren na het besnaren, maar eerlijk gezegd vind ik dat voor een ukulele of guitalele nooit echt problematisch (voor een luit met zeven dubbele koren en frictiemechanieken is de irritatie iets hoger maar nog steeds binnen het acceptabele). Gewoon een stemmertje op de kop houden en een paar keer bijstemmen de eerste dagen, geen probleem.
