Descrizione

With the D-40, Guild might have built the ultimate dreadnought. This acoustic guitar is shaped by the classic combo of a solid spruce soundboard and a solid mahogany body so you're absolutely assured of incredible tonal warmth and big, lush volume packed out with full sustain and flawless mid-range clarity. The fretboard and bridge have been carved from Indian rosewood; the body has been coated in satin-gloss; a unique tortoiseshell double-scratchplate has been mounted on the soundboard for that iconic Everly-style look; and the installed set of Guild Deluxe Vintage Open Gear machine heads are polished off with cream oval buttons to complete an elegant yet timeless look.

The Guild USA D-40: perfectie tot in de details

Since the devil lies in the details, Guild have cast out every possible demon when it comes to the build of this instrument. The nut and saddle have been hand cut from bone and the saddle has been compensated to support stable tuning and tight intonation. Even the bridge pins are made from real bone. The two faux-tortoiseshell scratch plates and delicate ABS inlay rings that surround the soundhole lend vintage-flavoured touches, and since the D-40 comes wrapped up in an exclusive hardshell case complete with a built-in humidifier, this masterful guitar can be kept in full health for decades to come. Hand-numbered certificate of authenticity included.
