Descrizione

Bearing many of the same authentic feature of the original 1958 Explorer, the neck of the left-handed Gibson Original Designer has been glued into the mahogany body, elevating resonance and enhancing sustain, while to ensure that the legendary, irksome body-shape is given all the room it needs to shine, it's been coated in a warm and transparent nitrocellulose high-gloss lacquer. Topped with two Burstbuckers, this reincarnation of the Explorer delivers authentic tone backed up gain that has that unmistakable PAF-style flavour. Rein it all in with the provided pair of volume pots and single tone pot, and mix or flip between the 3rd edition bridge pickup and 2nd edition neck pickup using the three-way switch.

The Explorer: Authentic Comfort and Playability

It's not just the signature body shape that reflects the original fifties model, but the reassuring feel of the Slim Taper neck profile, the 12-inch radius of the rosewood fretboard, and the set of 22 medium-jumbo frets, sets up this guitar with an authentic, unrivalled comfort and playability. This has all firmly backed up by the stable intonation of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, and the solid tuning provided by the set of Grover Rotomatic machine heads and the Graph Tech nut. As uncompromising as it was over seventy years ago, the Gibson Original Designer Explorer comes with a hardshell case and Gibson Accessory Kit.
