The smoothly rounded shapes of this Jackson solid body, combined with a neck-through construction, makes sure this is an electric guitar that's rich in sustain and is very comfortable to play. That playing comfort is further enhanced by the compound radius of the fretboard - you'll be able to bend the strings high up on the neck, while still maintaining those stable chords in the lower positions. Two wings made of linden have been set into the through-body maple neck, with rosewood fretboard. The Soloist body has a flamed maple top that is beautifully emphasised by the Trans Red lacquer. In terms of sound: the balanced, acoustic sound gets lifted to a higher level by the legendary active EMG humbucker combination - the SLXFMG is fitted with an '81 bridge pickup for a tight, ceramic sound while an '85 neck pickup allows for playing creamy cleans and fast sweeps.
