Jackson have unleashed some new metal violence in the form of a signature guitar for Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor. The Juggernaut HT6 features the same top specs as Mansoor's own custom shop models, but comes at a more budget-friendly price. Mansoor knew exactly what he wanted, and as such he developed the pickups for this model himself, together with Bare Knuckle. His signature pickups provide enough power to handle the heaviest, tightest riffs, without losing clarity and sharpness. The fluorescent dots on the side of the neck look great and are practical at the same time: even in the dark you'll be able to hit the right notes. All in all, this special guitar is perfect for true metal heads.

Top quality

This is definitely not a standard Jackson, considering Mansoor adjusted almost all of its aspects to suit his wishes. For instance, the body has extra deep cutaways for unlimited access to the highest frets. The flat ebony fretboard makes tapping, bending and playing fast riffs a lot easier than with a more rounded fretboard, because there is less resistance during playing. The neck has been reinforced with a graphite rod and features a thumb wheel, resulting in a highly stable guitar that is easy to adjust, to suit your wishes. This, in combination with the Hipshot locking tuners and fixed bridge, provides perfect tuning stability. The guitar has a quilted maple top with a beautiful Laguna Burst finish, giving it a more luxurious look.

Misha Mansoor

As the founder of progressive metal band Periphery, Misha Mansoor is often considered the forerunner of Djent music. His style is characterised by high gain and heavy palm-muted chords in combination with complex polyrhythmics and virtuoso solos. Mansoor also works as a producer and songwriter - he co-wrote the debut album of another Djent sensation Animals As Leaders. He has produced all of Periphery’s material. 2015 marks the ten-year anniversary of the band, looking back on one of the most innovative metal albums of the decade.
