The combination of an alder body and a maple neck has stood the test of time for most Telecasters, and Fender equipped this American Elite Tele with a maple fretboard as well for even more sparkling trebles. The neck has been fully redesigned for optimal playing comfort and features a compound fretboard radius and a compound neck profile that goes from a Modern C to a D. This makes the Fender American Elite Telecaster just as suitable for stable, open chords at the first frets as it is for smooth tone bending and fast solos in the higher positions.
