Much loved by drummers of all ages and playing levels, the compact 4-piece Breakbeats by Questlove shell-set from Ludwig includes a kick, tom, floor tom, and snare, all wrapped in a Mojave Swirl finish. Add your own hardware pack and preferred set of cymbals and you have a full, yet remarkably slim-line kit that will fit in the tightest corner of the smallest of stages while, with just the right set of heads, is able to pack a massive punch. A complete set of drum bags and a considerate set of drum dampers come included. These dampers not only reduce the volume but lend a nicely dry edge to the overall sound. This shell set comes with a 16 x 14-inch kick drum, a 10 x 7-inch tom, a 13 x13-inch floor tom, and a matching 14 x 5-inch snare to finish. Each drum shapes a warm sound and broad tonal range and, while it's often assumed that tighter kits like this one are made for softer, more subtle playing styles like those used in Jazz, the Breakbeats set is just as able to handle the heavier work of straight-up pop and rock. This high quality kit is made for drummers who don't have much space at home, drummers whose arms are still growing and are working their way up to a bigger kit, or fully-grown-up and stage-seasoned drummers who are simply seeking a tight kit with a tight and punchy sound to match. In any and every case, this compact kit comes finished according to Ludwig standards to offer great playability and to shape great sound.
