This Gretsch shell set has been modelled after the USA Custom Range, and features 30-degree bearing edges. In combination with the maple wood, they ensure great resonance and produce the full-bodied, warm sound that is so popular among drummers. To provide the icing on the cake, the attractive North American maple shells are adorned with a special 2013 Renown badge, in the style of Gretsch's USA and New Classic series.

Hardware

The Gretsch Drums RN1-R643-SW Renown Maple shell set is equipped with modern hardware, guaranteeing great durability. The fact that Gretsch only uses the finest materials for its high-quality drum kits is one of the reasons why many percussionists are such great fans of the brand. The high-grade, die-cast hoops of the tom and floor tom optimally retain tension after tuning, and the three-piece shell set also features a G1 suspension mount (for efficient tom mounting), G1 ITS lugs and G1 TR wingnuts. The Gretsch Drums RN1-R643-SW Renown Maple 2013 Satin White is equipped with Remo Emperor Clear batter heads for the 13-inch tom and the 16-inch floor tom, and with a Remo Powerstroke 3 drumhead for the 24-inch bass drum.
