Descrizione

This Ruby Red Burst version of the Sterling by Music Man Ray35 is an excellent alternative to the original Music Man Stingray 5. It puts all the properties of the legendary 5-string bass guitar within reach of serious amateur players. Striking details include its stylish pickguard, 3-band tone control, heavy-duty bridge and Stingray body shape with comfortable bevelled edges. The Ray35 comes with a bass guitar bag as well.

Sterling Ray35 Ruby Red Burst: extra deep bass

The lightweight ash body produces a full sound with bright trebles and the low B string gives you extra bass notes compared to a 4-string bass. The 21-fret maple neck is attached to the body using six bolts that ensure excellent stability, sound transference and sustain. There's also an easy-access truss-rod nut at the end of the neck should you ever need to make adjustments.

Electronics and hardware

The powerful yet punchy humbucker pickup on the Ray35 is responsible for delivering the renowned StingRay sounds to your amplifier. The humbucker is aided by the active electronics that include a 3-band EQ. There's a 3-way switch on board as well that allows you to run the pickup in serial, split or parallel mode giving you plenty of tonal options. The Ray35 is also equipped with a fully adjustable Music Man Designed heavy-duty, 5-saddle bridge and vintage-style machine heads.

Sterling by Music Man Ray35 Ruby Red Burst a 5 corde

Nadat ik eerst de verkeerde 4 snarige versie had toegestuurd gekregen kreeg ik eindelijk na ongeveer een kleine 2 weken de juiste gitaar. Deze is netjes afgewerkt maar wel met diverse beschadigingen/foutjes in de lak. Ik ben een "echte" gewend en je ziet wel dat hij een stukje goedkoper is. Verder is de afstelling ronduit slecht, dit moet nodig door een pro gedaan worden. Maar na een goede afstelling speelt hij erg lekker en ook niet onbelangrijk klinkt hij super. Samengevat: Voor dit geld verwacht je een betere afstelling en mindere beschadigingen in de lak, maar verder is het een super 2e Stingray.
