The KTSM-5 5-string acoustic bass has been dropped from Ortega's Signature Series and as such, bears the name of German-Jamaican bass-boss, Ken Taylor. This studio-session hero has recorded with an eye-wateringly long list of big names and is also a permanent member of the Peter Maffay Band. This elegantly finished instrument is shaped by a solid spruce top and flamed mahogany body while inlaid Roman numerals line the fretboard and rosewood binding completes the fittingly luxurious whole. This bass comes fully supported by a Fishman Presys+ preamp for unbeaten amplification of its natural acoustic sound. An XLR and a jack output is fitted for direct connection to a PA or mixer as well as an amp. Meanwhile, an integrated tuner accurately does exactly what you'd expect and a form-fitting gig bag conveniently comes included.
