Granted, it's a slightly peculiar looking stand, with the top part resembling a snare drum stand while the legs and feet look like those of a drum throne. Either way, there's nothing but logic behind this construction.

The Meinl HPS Handpan/Tongue Drum Stand

Designed to be compatible with most handpans and steel tongue drums, the HPS securely holds your valuable instrument and as such, is more dependable than a standard snare drum stand. Also, as a thoughtful touch, Meinl included little notches in the rubber pads that can be used to hold the beaters that go with your tongue drum. The double-braced legs provide firm footing, and as you can tell from the pictures, the stand offers ample height-adjustment potential (72cm - 100cm) and can even be deployed whenever you wish to play in a standing position.
